Sherwood Ash Two Door Maxi Full Hanging Wardrobe:The Sherwood range uses solid ash hardwood for elements such as legs and cabinet frames while large sections are formed from layered panels neatly finished with real ash veneer. Finished in a durable lacquer and using contemporary styled metal handles, the overall result has a very pleasing appearance.
What is surprising is that the Sherwood range is supplied as self-assembly furniture. Despite the obvious savings this brings, the quality of construction and finish means that it compares well with other, much more expensive, furniture ranges.
Please note: Much of the hardwood used for furniture manufactured in Asia may be described locally as Oak. While its appearance, density and durability is almost identical to oak, sometimes this timber is actually from the Ash (Fraxinus) family. In order to be as accurate as possible, we therefore market this furniture as being made from Ash, even though the manufacturer’s packaging may say Oak.
Wardrobes: Important information
This wardrobe is a self assembly item and is delivered in component form. It is a good idea to move all the parts into the room where the wardrobe is going to be used and then carry out the assembly in that room. Keep the instructions and any special tools supplied in a small bag on top, inside or pinned to the back of the wardrobe so that they can be used to dismantle the wardrobe if it needs to be moved again in the future.

Ash furniture characteristics
What should you expect from your ash furniture purchase from this website? Ash is a natural material with beautiful variations of grain patter, knots and colour in every piece of furniture. So, no two pieces of ash furniture you buy from this website will be exactly alike.
You’ll find that your ash furniture will gradually mellow (darken) in colour over time, so new ash furniture will initially look paler that older ash furniture. Because of this, for the first few months after you’ve bought your ash furniture, we advise that you do not leave a vase, ornament or other item in one place on the ash for too long, as the area of furniture covered will mellow less that the surrounding area. Care of ash furniture
Ash furniture care: here are some tips. Firstly, place your newly bought ash furniture in the right location: away from direct heat sources (e.g. radiators) or unusually humid locations.
Our second ash furniture care tip is to always lift your furniture if you want to move it, rather than dragging furniture across the floor. Lifting your furniture to move it will ensure you don’t damage the plinth structure.
Thirdly, don’t place hot or wet objects directly onto ash furniture, especially if it is waxed ash furniture. If you accidentally cause any marks on your ash furniture in this way, try rubbing your ash furniture along the grain with some wax furniture polish applied to some very fine (0000 grade) wire wool.
