Heartland Oak Shakespeare Chest:The inspiration for this collection of fully assembled, dark oak living and dining room furniture is a British vernacular style that traces its origins back at least as far as the 15th Century.
It would be pretentious to claim it reflects the characteristics of a nation, but features of the range include the best raw materials, namely good quality oak, formed into sturdy constructions and finished with the most understated of decorative carving.
The Heartland Oak range could be at home in any period from 1490 onwards (although TV units would raise eyebrows!) but the advantage of this range over its antique counterparts is that it has been seasoned to be better able to cope with central heating and proportioned to fit neatly into contemporary dwellings.
The range comes fully assembled.

Care of oak furniture
Oak furniture care: here are some tips from rightpricefurniture. Firstly, place your newly bought oak furniture in the right location: away from direct heat sources (e.g. radiators) or unusually humid locations.
Our second oak furniture care tip is to always lift your furniture if you want to move it, rather than dragging furniture across the floor. Lifting your furniture to move it will ensure you don’t damage the plinth structure.
You should not place hot or wet objects directly onto oak furniture, especially if it is waxed oak furniture. If you accidentally cause any marks on your oak furniture in this way, try rubbing your oak furniture along the grain with some wax furniture polish applied to some very fine (0000 grade) wire wool. How to move oak furniture
Oak furniture bought from rightpricefurniture will be moved into your house for you. However, if you want to move your oak furniture once you have bought it, you should always lift your furniture rather than dragging it. Oak furniture has a plinth structure, and dragging it can cause damage to this.
Some two-part items of oak furniture are provided with installation fixings (eg: to secure the top and bottom oak furniture sections together). For your safety, if any of these are enclosed when the oak furniture is delivered, they should always be used.
Additionally, if you are moving your oak furniture then make sure you choose a suitable location. Oak furniture should be placed away from heat sources (eg: radiators), and you should also place oak furniture away from unusually humid locations.
