Dovedale Lacquered Furniture

The Dovedale range is good quality furniture made from solid pine and supplied in a wipe clean lacquer finish.  Simple styling has produced furniture with a pleasing appearance and a distinctive feature of the range is the use of bun feet on all cabinet pieces.    

Given the look and overall feel of quality, it is perhaps surprising that this is a self-assembly range of furniture.  However, if properly constructed, it should give years of trouble-free service.   

The drawers, for example, are constructed with dovetail joints.  Heavy duty plywood is used in place of wood panels for the drawer bases and backs.  However, solid wood drawer bases need to be fitted by experienced craftsmen who know how to allow for the shrinkage and expansion of the wood, whereas this problem does not occur with plywood.
