Hampshire Cheval Mirror with Box:The Hampshire ranges of reclaimed pine furniture bear a strong resemblance to furniture widely available during the late 19th and early to mid-20th Centuries. Detailing touches, such as the ceramic handles and ceramic inlays, reinforce this late Victorian feel. Distressed detailing of the wood, including some marking and fillet inlays, adds age and completes the look.
Despite the reclaimed appearance, Hampshire furniture is strongly constructed of solid pine. The wood is stained a dark honey/light treacle colour and finished with a lacquer coating. The ceramic handles and inlays are white with patterning that ranges in hue from a subtle lilac to royal blue.
This is a fully assembled range although some larger items such as beds and wardrobes may be partially dismantled to facilitate delivery.

Wooden furniture: rustic or perfect?
Wooden furniture will naturally expand and contract within its environment, with naturally occurring cracks because of this. If you are looking for a more polished look for your furniture, rightpricefurniture would recommend you purchase furniture from us with a lacquered finish. Furniture lacquer acts as a glue, seal and filler helping to prevent the wooden furniture from cracking. So, lacquered furniture will crack less than waxed.
For example the
Devonshire Pine Badger Range has a waxed finish as opposed to the
Devonshire New Solid Oak which has a lacquered finish. There are some ranges specifically designed to have a rustic look, such as the
Trafalgar Oak Collection.
