Oakhampton computer desk, double pedestal:The Oakhampton collection is good quality, fully-assembled solid timber furniture suitable for the home office or study. Cabinet and desk tops are of 20mm thick solid hardwood, as are the drawer fronts. Traditional methods of construction – including dovetailed drawer joints – result in a sturdily-built collection that will keep its looks and provide a lifetime of service.
Oakhampton Home Office furniture is made using a mixture of oak and ash timber, carefully selected and matched to produce attractive, hard wearing items of furniture.
Please note: Much of the hardwood used for furniture manufactured in Asia may be described locally as Oak. While its appearance, density and durability is almost identical to oak, sometimes this timber is actually from the Ash (Fraxinus) family. In order to be as accurate as possible, we therefore market this furniture as being made from Ash, even though the manufacturer’s packaging may say Oak.
