Devonshire Old Mill Pine 5' Panel Bed:

The side rails, head and foot ends of this Devon Old Mill Pine Bed are all made of solid pine and finished with a protective coating of antique wax. The mattress (not supplied) is supported on wooden slats fixed to the side rails. In its fully assembled form it would be difficult, if not impossible, to deliver this bed into most of the rooms chosen for its use. It is therefore supplied partially dismantled into four or five major assemblies. This has been a common practice for beds since medieval times.

Re-assembly of this bed is a relatively straightforward procedure requiring only basic tools. If however you require assistance, please tell the delivery service when they contact you to arrange the delivery date. Please note there is a charge for this service.

The Old Mill range is a high quality, fully assembled range of solid pine furniture made in the UK by Devonshire Pine Ltd. It has a classic style that echoes the kind of sturdy, honest pieces village carpenters produced for hundreds of years. Function took precedence over form, yet the fluted decoration on large items shows the pride taken in the work.

The Old Mill range shares the same quality features as all other products in the Devonshire Pine ranges, such as solid wood panelling to drawer bases and cabinet backs and the use of dovetailed joints in drawer construction.

All Devonshire Pine ranges are fully assembled although some larger items such as tables, beds and wardrobes may be partially dismantled to facilitate delivery.

The standard finishes for this range are Classic Wax and Rustic Wax. All other finishes are special order items.
