Those wanting a rustic style bedstead will have to look hard to find one that offers better quality or value than this series of rustic oak beds from the Rustic Oak range from Devonshire Pine Ltd. The head end, foot end and side rails are strongly built from high grade American oak. The bed is then lightly distressed and finished with a high quality lacquer. The mattress (which can be supplied separately) is supported on wooden slats fixed to the side rails.

In its fully assembled form this 6ft RH37 Rustic Oak bed would be virtually impossible to deliver without risking damage to either the property or the bed itself. It is therefore supplied partially dismantled into four or five major assemblies. This has been a common practice for beds since medieval times.

The Devonshire Rustic Oak Furniture collection from Devonshire Pine Ltd features inch and a half thick oak tops, three-quarter inch thick oak drawer fronts and heavy gauge steel drop handles in a black finish. But what distinguishes Devonshire’s range from similar products is the quality of construction and finish.

Features include jointed and glued construction for strength, the correct dovetail joints for drawer construction and solid oak panelling to cabinet backs and drawer bases.

The quality of the lacquer finish is also of a typically high standard.

This range is made of oak and all items are fully assembled except for beds and wardrobes which are partially dismantled to facilitate delivery.
