The rounded edges of the drawer fronts are an endearing and suitably distressed element to this charming 2 over 3 rustic oak chest of drawers from the Devonshire range. But a key difference between Devonshire's products and those of some makers of rustic bedroom furniture is that the distressing process has not been used as an excuse for poor quality. American oak has been used throughout - even for drawer bases and the back of the cabinet, and the drawers are constructed using dovetail joints.

When the distressing process is completed the lacquer finish is still of the highest standard. Given the overall quality of the RC70 rustic oak chest of drawers and its price, this Devonshire Pine product represents excellent value for money.

The Devonshire Rustic Oak Furniture collection from Devonshire Pine Ltd features inch and a half thick oak tops, three-quarter inch thick oak drawer fronts and heavy gauge steel drop handles in a black finish. But what distinguishes Devonshire’s range from similar products is the quality of construction and finish.

Features include jointed and glued construction for strength, the correct dovetail joints for drawer construction and solid oak panelling to cabinet backs and drawer bases.

The quality of the lacquer finish is also of a typically high standard.

This range is made of oak and all items are fully assembled except for beds and wardrobes which are partially dismantled to facilitate delivery.
