Devonshire New Solid Oak 4ft 4in Extending Dining Table and 4 Jenna HI Back Chairs:This Devonshire New Solid Oak Dining Table is made throughout from solid oak*. It is sturdily built using a jointed and glued method of construction and is completed in a tough lacquer finish. The extension leaves are easily located using brass pins and are secured in position with swivel locks. When not in use the extension leaves are stored within the table carriage.
* Table top panels comprise one eighth of an inch thick laminates to upper and lower surfaces, bonded to an engineered board. This minimses the problems associated with very wide solid timber panels (such as shrinking, swelling or cracking) and allows the furniture, with care, to be used in a wider range of environments.

The legs on this dining table are removed for delivery purposes. This makes it easier to move it into the chosen room and also helps reduce the strains imposed on the furniture itself during the delivery process. Re-assembly is a straightforward process and requires only basic tools. All items are fully assembled except for dining tables which have the legs removed for delivery and complete dressers which are delivered in top and bottom halves.

0102 Oak Furniture Finishes
Oak furniture from rightpricefurniture is generally available in one of three types of finish. They are:
1. Lacquered. The oak furniture has been stained to a colour of choice and then a clear lacquer is added. This gives the oak furniture a tougher shell which makes it far more resistant to stains, moisture and scratches. This type of finish is the easiest to maintain and clean for oak furniture.
2. Waxed. Our waxed oak furniture is finished in water-based stain and real wax. Waxed oak furniture will benefit from the occasional application of solid wax furniture polish, particularly in its first few months in your home. The sheen of the surface on the oak furniture will probably increase as you apply and buff more furniture wax. Between wax applications, day-to-day oak furniture cleaning can be carried out with a dry duster.
3. Oiled. Oiled furniture has an oil worked into the wood that helps to bring out the colour and beauty of the grain. Despite its name, it is not oily to the touch but offers a silky feel and appearance to the furniture.
