This sideboard from the Eve dining and living room range has a contemporary styling, which is further reinforced with the use of brushed metal handles. It has a similar appearance to oak furniture from some exclusive Scandinavian collections but is actually made from rubberwood which (despite its name) is actually a tropical hardwood.

This is an environmentally sensitive choice of timber for furniture as the trees have already been used for natural latex production before the timber is recycled and the plantations replanted.

The Eve dining and living room ranges of contemporary style furniture are presented in an oak colouring with a lacquer finish. Brushed aluminium fittings complete the look and the overall effect is reminiscent of some exclusive Scandinavian oak collections.

The Eve ranges have an added environmental appeal as they are made of rubberwood, the tree cultivated for harvesting natural latex and then turned over to timber production at the end of the life cycle. It is a relatively dense timber, similar in appearance to pine and able to accept a range of finishes.
