The Pembroke collection of bedroom furniture from Northamptonshire-based Kettle Containers is a fully assembled range made from solid mahogany.  This is not reproduction furniture but rather a contemporary styled and finished collection that uses classical designs for its inspiration.

Mahogany is a tropical hardwood that has been a favourite for furniture making since the 18th Century and it is not surprising, when seen at first hand.  Strong, dense, grain that can be worked to produce both sweeping curves and precise edges lends itself to pleasing designs of furniture.  The colour of the wood, especially when lacquered or polished, has a satisfying richness and an almost reflective quality.
