The furniture is supplied assembled apart from the larger items which need nominal assembly.
CPW Convex Dark Dining Room Collection
The Convex range from CPW is fully assembled, solid wood furniture. It has a rich, very dark, appearance and is in a contemporary style, yet would look equally at home in an Edwardian or Art Deco setting. The finish is nearer to a satin sheen rather than a high gloss.
Quality features include dovetailed drawers, and solid drawer bases. This range represents attractive dark wood furniture of a very acceptable quality, at prices significantly lower than comparable ranges offered through high street and boutique outlets.
Although this furniture is fully assembled, some larger items may be partially dismantled to facilitate delivery. If you would like help with reassembly, please discuss this with the delivery company when they telephone to arrange the delivery appointment.

0701 Dark Wood Furniture History
The history of dark furniture is that originally wooden furniture would have all been light coloured. For example, the dark coloured oak furniture from the Middle Ages or mediaeval times that is seen in museums would actually have been quite light in colour when it was first made as this is the natural colour of oak. Perhaps the only finish that would have been used to protect the wood would have been beeswax or tallow made from animal fats, in either case it would not by itself have significantly darkened the colour of the wood. Over many years wood mellows and darkens in colour. Added to this, wooden furniture from these times would have been subject to hundreds of years of dirt, smoke and soot. The cumulative effect produced dark wood furniture. As the effect is not unattractive the desire arose to try and reproduce this look. This was particularly the case during Victorian times when there was a revival of interest in the medieval period, known as the Gothic revival.
3105 The average time spent watching TV
A survey by Ofcom in 2006 revealed that in Britain we spend an average of 3.8 hours a day watching TV. That's 26.6 hours a week, or nearly TWO MONTHS a year (at 24 hours a day).
Surely it is important then that the most looked at item of furniture in our home, the TV cabinet, should be good quality and attractive. We offer television cabinets in a wide choice of materials and styles to match most interior designs, so please take your time to select the one that will most suit your tastes.
