ASL Ashley solid ash 2 Drawer Bedside:Although this Ashley bedside has only two drawers - rather than the more usual three - it still measures nearly 2ft high, so provides nearly as much storage as its three drawer rivals. The clean lines of this contemporary ash furniture are the ideal companion to the beds from the Ashley range. all items in the range, including the bedsides, are completed in a lacquer finish.

The Ashley collection of contemporary styled solid hardwood bedroom furniture is in a beautiful light colour and has an exceptionally neat, clean design. Quality features include the use of dovetail joints in construction of the drawers and the understated styling is completed with the use of simple, bright metal handles.
This is a attractive, fully assembled range although some larger items such as wardrobes may be partially dismantled to facilitate delivery.
Please note: Much of the hardwood used for furniture manufactured in Asia may be described locally as Oak. While its appearance, density and durability is almost identical to oak, sometimes this timber is actually from the Ash (Fraxinus) family. In order to be as accurate as possible, we therefore market this furniture as being made from Ash, even though the manufacturer’s packaging may say Oak.

This quality meant that ash wood was traditionally reserved for making such things as wheel spokes for wagons and handles for tools such as hammers and axes.
Also as it can be burnt ‘green’ without seasoning or drying, it was also popular as firewood.
