Devonshire Badger solid pine 6 Drawer Wellington:
Devonshire Pine Badger Bedroom Furniture
Of all the Devonshire Pine ranges, the Badger range has perhaps the most ornamentation. Door tops and plinths feature a scroll design motif, whereas its sister ranges feature straight-edged decoration.
Apart from this, the Badger range shares the same quality features, such as solid wood panelling to drawer bases and cabinet backs and the use of dovetailed joints in drawer construction.
All Devonshire Pine ranges are solid wood throughout, feature dovetailed joints, and come fully assembled. However, some larger items such as tables, beds and wardrobes may be partially dismantled to facilitate delivery.
The standard finishes for this range are Classic Wax and Rustic Wax. All other finishes are special order items.

1302 Bedside Cabinet Styles
For those with maybe an adventurous or artistic streak, there is also a wide selection of rustic bedsides and distressed bedsides in pine. Fans of the rich, warm colours will appreciate the choice of dark wood bedsides on offer while, at the other end of the spectrum, the ash bedsides offer surperb value as sturdy hardwood furniture in a variety of light hues.

The original Wellington chests were named after the tall narrow chests of drawers used by officers of the Duke of Wellington’s army during the Peninsula War. These formed part of what became known as campaign furniture – furniture such as tables, chairs, desks etc. designed for use on military campaigns. The original Wellington chests would have been made from tough, rot-resistant hardwoods such as mahogany and protected with brass cappings on the corners. Two hinged bars could have been locked in position on the front edges of the chests to prevent them being accidentally – or deliberately – opened during transit.
