Kettle Containers The curiously-named furniture company, Kettle Containers, is based at Corby, Northamptonshire. This former steel town suffered major economic decline in the early 1980s because of a downturn in the steel industry, but has since recovered thanks to major investment in new industries.
The Containers part of the Kettle Containers name arises from the company’s method of selling furniture to its retailers. Those retailers who are prepared to accept deliveries of complete shipping containers of furniture off the boat direct from Kettle’s overseas manufacturing operations can obtain the furniture at a discounted price compared to those prefer to order from Kettle’s Corby headquarters. The potential disadvantage of this system for the retailer is that the purchased container may include a proportion of less popular items of furniture – which ties up the retailer’s investment until they can be sold on to customers.
That said, Kettle Containers enjoys a reputation for producing furniture that is of good quality, well-made and generally popular with retailers and customers alike. Like all manufacturers, it is keen to identify new trends and tastes in furniture design and in recent years has launched several new ranges in oak, pine and painted finishes with this in mind.Kettle Container’s ranges include:

nests of tables,
coffee tables,
side tables,
TV units and
dressers or
display cabinets. A few ranges, such as the Contemporary range, offer a complete selection of bedroom, living and dining room furniture.
