Hampshire 2 Door Buffet Sideboard:The Hampshire ranges of reclaimed pine furniture bear a strong resemblance to furniture widely available during the late 19th and early to mid-20th Centuries. Detailing touches, such as the ceramic handles and ceramic inlays, reinforce this late Victorian feel. Distressed detailing of the wood, including some marking and fillet inlays, adds age and completes the look.
Despite the reclaimed appearance, Hampshire furniture is strongly constructed of solid pine and supplied full assembled. However, some of items may be supplied in sectional form to allow for delivery.
The wood is stained a dark honey/light treacle colour and finished with a lacquer coating. The ceramic handles and inlays are white with patterning that ranges in hue from a subtle lilac to royal blue.

Reclaimed Timber Furniture characteristics
All of our
reclaimed timber furniture is of a country style design. In order to preserve its rustic “antique” character, no attempt is made to conceal the natural flaw and variations in the reclaimed timber. For example, small cracks, heavily textured grain, variable colouration of the timber, small blemishes and filled areas are all part of the essential character of this reclaimed timber furniture. Furniture made from reclaimed timber does not look perfect and in fact, reclaimed timber furniture is deliberately made to look worn. No two pieces will be the same, and variations in shade and finish and appearance are completely normal. Reclaimed timber will crack and split fairly extensively as it ages, giving it a beautiful and unique look.
Reclaimed Timber Furniture care tips
Reclaimed timber furniture care tips include ensuring that neither hot nor wet objects are placed on waxed reclaimed timber furniture, as they can cause marks on the reclaimed timber. If you should accidentally cause a heat or damp mark on your reclaimed timber furniture, try rubbing the furniture’s surface gently along the grain only with some wax oak furniture polish applied to a piece of 0000 grade (very fine) wire wool. Provided that the marking is not too serious, this process should reduce or eliminate the mark and your reclaimed timber furniture will be as good as new once more. It may be necessary to extend your wire wool and wax treatment to the whole surface of the reclaimed timber furniture in order to even out the sheen of the finish.
