Ashley solid ash Sideboard, Small:
The Ashley collection is a refreshing new addition to our choice of solid hardwood furniture.  This contemporary styled living and dining room range is made of solid ash, a very clean light-coloured hardwood known for its shock resistant properties.

Quality features of the Ashley range include the use of ash panels to cabinet backs and drawer bases and the use of dovetail joints in construction of the drawers.  The understated styling of this fully assembled range is completed with the use of simple, bright metal handles.

Altogether a very pleasing collection and something for the individual who likes to be just that little bit different!

It is a fully assembled range although some larger items such as tables may be partially dismantled to facilitate delivery.

Please note: Much of the hardwood used for furniture manufactured in Asia may be described locally as Oak. While its appearance, density and durability is almost identical to oak, sometimes this timber is actually from the Ash (Fraxinus) family. In order to be as accurate as possible, we therefore market this furniture as being made from Ash, even though the manufacturer’s packaging may say Oak.

Ash Furniture care tips

Ash furniture care tips include ensuring that neither hot nor wet objects are placed on ash furniture, as they can cause marks on the ash.  If you should accidentally cause a heat or damp mark on your ash furniture, try rubbing the furniture’s surface gently along the grain only with some wax oak furniture polish applied to a piece of 0000 grade (very fine) wire wool.  Provided that the marking is not too serious, this process should reduce or eliminate the mark and your ash furniture will be as good as new once more.  It may be necessary to extend your wire wool and wax treatment to the whole surface of the ash furniture in order to even out the sheen of the finish.

Most of our Categories have Oak and Ash Sub Categories, e.g. Oak and Ash Wardrobes.

Care of ash furniture

Ash furniture care: here are some tips.  Firstly, place your newly bought ash furniture in the right location: away from direct heat sources (e.g. radiators) or unusually humid locations.

Our second ash furniture care tip is to always lift your furniture if you want to move it, rather than dragging furniture across the floor. Lifting your furniture to move it will ensure you don’t damage the plinth structure.

Thirdly, don’t place hot or wet objects directly onto ash furniture, especially if it is waxed ash furniture.  If you accidentally cause any marks on your ash furniture in this way, try rubbing your ash furniture along the grain with some wax furniture polish applied to some very fine (0000 grade) wire wool.

You can filter all of our Categories down to Oak an Ash as an example you just view Oak and Ash Wellington Chests.
