Oakhampton 4ft Extending Dining Table and 4 Faux Leather Chairs:The Oakhampton range is made from solid hardwoods. Oak is used exclusively on smaller items while larger furniture features solid oak and ash attractively matched together.
Cabinets and tables are of jointed and glued construction and solid wood panelling is used for drawer bases and cabinet backs.
Drawers are made using dovetailed joints and are mounted on traditional wooden runners. Oakhampton furniture is finished in a low-gloss lacquer.

It is a fully assembled range although some larger items such as tables may be partially dismantled to facilitate delivery.
Please note: Much of the hardwood used for furniture manufactured in Asia may be described locally as Oak. While its appearance, density and durability is almost identical to oak, sometimes this timber is actually from the Ash (Fraxinus) family. In order to be as accurate as possible, we therefore market this furniture as being made from Ash, even though the manufacturer’s packaging may say Oak.
Important information: Dining Tables
The legs on this dining table are removed for delivery purposes. This makes it easier to move it into the chosen room and also helps reduce the strains imposed on the furniture itself during the delivery process. Re-assembly is a straightforward process and requires only basic tools.
However, if you would like assistance with re-assembly of this table, please let the delivery company know when they telephone to arrange the delivery appointment. Please note: the delivery company will charge for this service.
Oak furniture characteristics

Oak furniture (along with most other hard woods) tends to crack and split as it ages, giving the furniture a beautifully unique look.
You’ll also find that your oak furniture will gradually mellow (darken) in colour over time, so new oak furniture will initially look paler that older oak furniture. Because of this, for the first few months after you’ve bought your oak furniture, rightpricefurniture advise that you do not leave a vase, ornament or other item in one place on the oak for too long, as the area of furniture covered will mellow less that the surrounding area. Ash Furniture: character
All of our ash furniture is of a country style design. In order to preserve its rustic “antique” character, no attempt is made to conceal the natural flaw and variations in the ash. For example, small cracks, heavily textured grain, variable colouration of the timber, small blemishes and filled areas are all part of the essential character of this ash furniture.
