Devonshire New Solid Oak dining and living room furniture is made throughout, as the name suggests, of solid oak timber. This contemporary styled furniture is fully assembled and benefits from all the features of high quality cabinet furniture, such as the use of dovetailed joints on drawers, solid wood panelling to cabinet backs and solid wood panelling to drawer bases.
Supplied by the renowned North Devon company, Devonshire Pine Ltd. the New Solid Oak dining and living room furniture is completed in a tough lacquered finish that highlights the attractive colour and grain of the wood and simplifies cleaning and maintenance.
All items are fully assembled except for dining tables which have the legs removed for delivery and complete dressers which are delivered in top and bottom halves.

The legs on this dining table are removed for delivery purposes. This makes it easier to move it into the chosen room and also helps reduce the strains imposed on the furniture itself during the delivery process. Re-assembly is a straightforward process and requires only basic tools. However, if you would like assistance with re-assembly of this table, please let the delivery company know when they telephone to arrange the delivery appointment. Oak furniture (along with most other hard woods) tends to crack and split as it ages, giving the furniture a beautifully unique look.
You’ll also find that your oak furniture will gradually mellow (darken) in colour over time, so new oak furniture will initially look paler that older oak furniture. Because of this, for the first few months after you’ve bought your oak furniture, rightpricefurniture advise that you do not leave a vase, ornament or other item in one place on the oak for too long, as the area of furniture covered will mellow less that the surrounding area. How to move oak furniture
Oak furniture bought from rightpricefurniture will be moved into your house for you. However, if you want to move your oak furniture once you have bought it, you should always lift your furniture rather than dragging it. Oak furniture has a plinth structure, and dragging it can cause damage to this.
Some two-part items of oak furniture are provided with installation fixings (eg: to secure the top and bottom oak furniture sections together). For your safety, if any of these are enclosed when the oak furniture is delivered, they should always be used.
Additionally, if you are moving your oak furniture then make sure you choose a suitable location. Oak furniture should be placed away from heat sources (eg: radiators), and you should also place oak furniture away from unusually humid locations.
