pine furniture is of a country style design. In order to preserve its rustic “antique” character, no attempt is made to conceal the natural flaw and variations in the pine. Furniture lacquer acts as a glue, seal and filler helping to prevent the wooden furniture from cracking. So, lacquered furniture will crack less than waxed.
