Derwen Solid Oak 5 Drawer Chest:The Derwen range of fully assembled furniture is made of high quality oak and exhibits all the hallmarks of quality furniture.
These include wood-panelled drawer bases and cabinet backs and the use of dovetailed joints in constructing drawers. The range is made of solid oak, finished with fine oak veneers to produce an even pattern and colour tone of grain (see video). This is completed with a tough, hard-wearing lacquer.
Derwen Oak furniture features a decorative curved beading to the underside of cabinet tops and chamfered, rather than square finished, leg ends to all floor-standing cabinets.
It is a fully assembled range although some larger items such as tables, beds and wardrobes may be partially dismantled to facilitate delivery.

Derwen Oak furniture features a curved chamfer edge to cabinet tops and chamfered, rather than square finished, leg ends to all floor-standing cabinets.
Derwen Oak furniture has a light oak appearance and is finished in a tough, hard-wearing lacquer finish.The collection comes fully assembled apart from some of the larger items which are sectional to allow for delivery.

Care of oak furniture
Oak furniture care: here are some tips from rightpricefurniture. Firstly, place your newly bought oak furniture in the right location: away from direct heat sources (e.g. radiators) or unusually humid locations.
Our second oak furniture care tip is to always lift your furniture if you want to move it, rather than dragging furniture across the floor. Lifting your furniture to move it will ensure you don’t damage the plinth structure.
You should not place hot or wet objects directly onto oak furniture, especially if it is waxed oak furniture. If you accidentally cause any marks on your oak furniture in this way, try rubbing your oak furniture along the grain with some wax furniture polish applied to some very fine (0000 grade) wire wool. Chests of drawers
Chests of drawers from rightpricefurniture are of the highest quality and are made from solid wood. Wooden furniture will expand and contract within its environment, and as back and chest of drawer bases are made from interlocking wooden boards, these may show some shrinkage as the wooden furniture ages. This is quite normal, particularly in centrally heated homes. You can care for your chest of drawers by ensuring it’s placed away from direct heat sources (such as radiators).
