Sherwood is a classic design made from natural ash. The refined styling of this range is complemented by the use of real wood and natural wood veneer.
Each piece in the range is produced from real wood sections and layered panels which are enhanced by real Ash veneer.
This process gives you the look and feel that only real wood offers. Every piece is lovingly treated with a clear lacquer to give your furniture a quality finish which is very easy to maintain with an occasional wipe with a slightly dampened cloth.
Sherwood’s generous proportions are complemented by metal bar handles which complete the stylish look of this range.

How to move ash furniture
Ash furniture bought from this website will be moved into your house for you. However, if you want to move your ash furniture once you have bought it, you should always lift your furniture rather than dragging it. Ash furniture has a plinth structure, and dragging it can cause damage to this.
Some two-part items of ash furniture are provided with installation fixings (eg: to secure the top and bottom ash furniture sections together). For your safety, if any of these are enclosed when the ash furniture is delivered, they should always be used.
Additionally, if you are moving your ash furniture then make sure you choose a suitable location. Ash furniture should be placed away from heat sources (eg: radiators), and you should also place ash furniture away from unusually humid locations.
Ash furniture finishes
Ash furniture is generally available in three types of finish. They are:
1. White or sometimes referred to as raw. Raw means that the ash furniture has no stain or topcoat – just a naturally beautiful look
2. Lacquered. The ash furniture has been stained to a colour of choice and then a clear lacquer is added. This gives the ash furniture a tougher shell which makes it far more resistant to stains, moisture and scratches. This type of finish is the easiest to maintain and clean for ash furniture. The

3. Waxed. Our waxed ash furniture is finished in water-based stain and real wax. Waxed ash furniture will benefit from the occasional application of solid wax furniture polish, particularly in its first few months in your home. The sheen of the surface on the ash furniture will probably increase as you apply and buff more furniture wax. Between wax applications, day-to-day ash furniture cleaning can be carried out with a dry duster. The
