The Trafalgar Rustic Oak range, sometimes called American Oak, offers furniture designed and constructed to very high standards whilst being finished in a style that evokes the tremendous durability and longevity of this magnificent timber.
Rather than the pristine clean edges and unblemished surface of a just-made piece, Trafalgar Rustic Oak bears the slightly rounded edges and occasional surface marks suggestive of many years of sterling service.
It is ideally suited to those seeking the quality and ease of care of modern furniture, but without that ‘fresh from the workshop’ appearance.
The collection comes fully assembled; some items may need basic assembly to allow for delivery.
Important information This bed is a large item of furniture. In its fully assembled form it would be extremely difficult, if not impossible, to gain access with it into most of the rooms chosen for its use. It is therefore supplied partially dismantled into four or five major assemblies. This has been a common practice for beds since medieval times. Re-assembly of this bed is a relatively straightforward procedure requiring only basic tools. If however you require assistance, please tell the delivery service when they contact you to arrange the delivery date. Please note there is a charge for this service.
Care of oak furniture
Oak furniture care: here are some tips from rightpricefurniture. Firstly, place your newly bought oak furniture in the right location: away from direct heat sources (e.g. radiators) or unusually humid locations.
Our second oak furniture care tip is to always lift your furniture if you want to move it, rather than dragging furniture across the floor. Lifting your furniture to move it will ensure you don’t damage the plinth structure.
You should not place hot or wet objects directly onto oak furniture, especially if it is waxed oak furniture. If you accidentally cause any marks on your oak furniture in this way, try rubbing your oak furniture along the grain with some wax furniture polish applied to some very fine (0000 grade) wire wool.
