Contemporary Solid Oak 5' Low End Bed:The Contemporary range, manufactured by Kettle Containers, is in a modern style yet with classic features. It is an indication of quality that all cabinets and tables are of jointed and glued construction. Drawers feature dovetailed joints and are set on metal drawer runners.
Handles are bright finish metal and the wood is finished with a tough, clear lacquer. The lacquer used on Contemporary furniture has a low-shine appearance that combines the practicality of lacquer with the look of a wax finish.
It is a fully assembled range although some larger items such as beds and wardrobes may be partially dismantled to facilitate delivery.

Important information
This bed is a large item of furniture. In its fully assembled form it would be extremely difficult, if not impossible, to gain access with it into most of the rooms chosen for its use. It is therefore supplied partially dismantled into four or five major assemblies. This has been a common practice for beds since medieval times. Re-assembly of this bed is a relatively straightforward procedure requiring only basic tools. If however you require assistance, please tell the delivery service when they contact you to arrange the delivery date. Please note there is a charge for this service.

Furniture lacquer acts as a glue, seal and filler helping to prevent the wooden furniture from cracking. So, lacquered furniture will crack less than waxed.
